Nissan Announced Third Price Hike For Magnite

Nissan Announced Third Price Hike For Magnite

Nissan India officially launched the awaited Magnite in December. The compact SUV instantly became a huge success and one of the reasons for the popularity was the pricing as it undercuts most of the competition. But the company had announced during the launch that the pricing is introductory. Since then the Japanese manufacturer increased the price couple of times and now a third price hike has also been announced.

This time the price increase is from Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 33,000. The non-turbo model became pricier as the XE and XV variants became costlier by Rs. 33,000 and the variant with the least price hike of Rs. 9,000 is for the XV Premium CVT. The price of the turbo variant has been already hiked Rs. 30,000 earlier this month. The total price hike for the Magnite turbo variant is Rs. 50,000 when we add up everything from the initial price.

Even with the price hike, Nissan Magnite price is very competitive which is why people choose it over other models. The company has recently announced that the Magnite production reaches 10,000. But the waiting period for the Magnite is really high especially as it extends to around 6-7 months in some cities for the top-end turbo variants with the CVT gearbox. Most of the customers are choosing turbo variants with an automatic gearbox.

Renault introduced the Kiger earlier this year and it is based on the same platform as Magnite but the design and features are different. The Magnite is powered by two engine options – a 1.0 L naturally aspirated engine with 72 hp and a 1.0 L turbo engine with 100 hp. The non-turbo variant comes in manual gearbox only but the turbo variant comes with the option of CVT. Nissan Magnite is also packed with lots of features to lure buyers.
