Next-Generation KTM 390 Adventure Spied, More Details Revealed

KTM is working on the next generation of 390 Adventure as the company has already introduced the new generation of the naked version. The model has been spotted testing in Europe and it looks completely different than the current model as the design took inspiration from the 450 Rally Replica. The headlamps are vertically placed with LED projectors and the visor is placed slightly higher, which will help the rider from wind blasts, especially at higher speeds. However, the test mule looks smaller in pictures than the current model.

The ground clearance looks good on this particular test mule and the seat height is also slightly higher than usual as the engineers might have tuned the ride height for the test rider. The foot pegs are positioned rear set like the current model to help the rider hug the bike really well, especially when standing. The half-fairing design is also unique and the handlebar is placed on the taller side. Even though we can’t see the instrument cluster clearly, it might be shared with the 390 Duke, which will be loaded with lots of information.

The exhaust system on this particular test mule is placed under the engine but this might reduce the overall water wading capacity of the motorcycle so the production model might come with conventional side-mounted exhaust. The 390 Adventure gets off-set mounted mono-shock like the 390 Duke but the suspension will be tuned for off-roading. The engine will be retained from the 390 Duke but the gearbox and engine will be suited for both on and off-road. The launch is likely to take place towards the end of next year.
