By MG officially launched a new entry-level variant of ZS EV in India at the starting price of Rs. 18.98 lakh (Ex-Showroom). When compared to the Excite variant, which was the earlier base variant, the price has come down by Rs. 1 lakh and this will certainly make the electric SUV even more popular among prospective buyers. The ZS EV is available in four variants – Executive, Excite, Exclusive and Exclusive Pro. The recent introduction of the Excite variant has certainly made the electric SUV more accessible.
The British manufacturer is yet to reveal the exact details of the features that will be available on the new entry-level variant. We can expect MG to remove some features from the Excite variant which might include the fully digital cluster as it can make an impact on the final price. MG is keen to improve the sales of the ZS EV along with other variants as the competition has been very aggressive across the portfolio thanks to the introduction of newer models as most of the MG models are in their first generation.
The MG ZS EV packs a potent punch with a 50.3 kWh battery paired with an electric motor generating 174 BHP and 353 Nm of torque. This dynamic powertrain delivers an impressive driving range of 461 Km on a single charge, ensuring that drivers can undertake extended journeys with ease and confidence. In terms of acceleration, the ZS EV sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 8.5 seconds, offering a thrilling and responsive driving experience.
