MG Motors Showcased The Euniq 7 In India At The 2023 Auto Expo

MG Motors showcased the Euniq 7 MPV in the country at the 2023 auto expo. All other manufacturers in the autoexpo is concentrated on the electric and ICE powered cars. MG is making its auto expo pavilion different with vehicles which are hybrid and Hydrogen fueled. However the Euniq 7 is a hydrogen fueled model that is already on sales abroad under the brand Maxus which is also owned by the same parent company Saic Motors.

The Euniq 7 is a large vehicle with a boxy like design characteristics, the front fascia of the vehicle host a huge grille with slimmer headlights. The front bumper gets sharp lines and it gets a triangular vent at the corner. The vehicle showcased at the auto expo hosts 2 tone colour theme in which the the roof, A pillar, window sill and the hood is in different color, whereas the B, C,and D pillars are blacked out. Over the side the vehicle is so huge with proper boxy shape with sharp lines and creases. It is distinguished with the different color treatments. The vehicle gets a sliding door at the rear it also gets a huge glass area. The rear is simple with boxy shape and it gets a spoiler at the rear. The whole vehicle adopts a 2+2+3 layout, which is consistent with mainstream MPV models

The interior of the MPV features multiple seating configurations with up to a seven-seat layout, and even having the option of a six-seat variant with captain seats in the middle row. Features include a large 12.3-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument display, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof and an electric tailgate. Safety features include ABS, ESC and even Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The MG Euniq 7 features a 92 kW fuel cell stack, which is paired with a permanent magnet electric motor with a peak output of 201 hp. There are three hydrogen tanks that have aa cumulative capacity of 6.4 kg that fuel the MPV, and store the liquid hydrogen at a pressure of 70 MPa. These tanks can be filled completely in as little as three to five minutes, with the full load giving the MG Euniq 7 a claimed range of 605 km (NEDC cycle). To ensure safety, the tanks utilise carbonfibre reinforcements and can withstand high temperatures of 842 degrees C.
