By MG Motors in India reported retail sales of 4114 units in January 2023. Considering the sales figures of January 2022 the company has a fall of 4 percent in sales. The fall in the sales is due to the obstacles the company face in supply chain and limited availability of chips. The carmaker conveyed that production is regaining momentum with some improvement in the supply chain. However, selected variants of the manufacturer still remain impacted. The company made its debut in the country back in 2019 with the Hector SUV. The Hector has made significant growth in the country since its launch. later the brand brought the MG ZS EV electric cross-over to the country which also got a very good response in the market. The current MG lineup is held by the Hector, Hector plus, ZS EV, Astor, and Gloster.
MG has reinforced its commitment to developing a strong EV ecosystem in India through various industry partnerships and other interventions. The manufacturer recently showcased its new energy vehicles (NEVs) with fuel-cell technology at the Auto Expo along with pure-electric and plug-in hybrid tech as part of its Drive. Ahead vision for future mobility. To regain a strong position in the market Mg motors has to come up with many elite products that are good value products like the Mg Hector and Astor. Both these vehicles have significantly well sales all over the country as both the vehicles host features and are priced better which give the customer a value-for-money feel.
