By MG Motors re-introduced the Shine variant of Hector in the Indian market and it is available in both diesel and petrol options. The petrol manual version of the Hector Shine variant is priced at Rs. 16.34 lakh, Rs. 17.54 lakh for the petrol CVT and Rs. 18.59 lakh for the diesel manual variant. The base Style variant price has gone up by Rs. 27,000 and now starts at Rs. 15 lakh while the company has increased the price of all diesel variants by Rs. 61,000.
The Hector petrol model is powered by a 1.5 L turbo petrol engine producing 141 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic. The diesel engine is tried and tested 2.0 L unit, which comes from Jeep and produces 168 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque but is available only with a 6-speed gearbox. If MG introduces the Hector with an automatic gearbox then the sales will definitely improve.
