By MG officially started accepting bookings for the Comet EV in the Indian market as customers can book the EV via the official website or by visiting the dealership. The booking amount is Rs. 11,000 and the British manufacturer has introduced an industry-first: the ‘Track and Trace’ feature (A Fully Transparent Experience from Booking to Delivery) on the ‘MyMG’ app. This feature will allow customers to trace the status of their car bookings from their phones itself.
The delivery of the Comet EV is to be commenced in a phased manner later this month while the test drive of the Comet EV has already started. The Comet is available in three variants – Pace, Play and Plush. Now the price of other variants has been revealed as the Play comes at Rs. 9.28 lakh and the top-end Plush is priced at Rs. 9.98 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The price is introductory and only the first 5000 customers will get the Comet at this price.
The mass production of Comet has already and we could see the Comet making lots of inroads in the Urban segment. MG Comet gets a 17.6 kWh battery pack with a single electric motor producing 42 hp and 110 Nm while the ARAI claimed range is 230 km. MG offers an optional buy-back program for customers to easily upgrade to their next MG.
