By MG Motors India is getting ready to showcase the future of the company in India at the 2023 Auto Expo. The British manufacturer has grown significantly higher over the past years with great offerings in the country. The time has come for the manufacturer to bring a midlife refresh to its vehicles. The auto expo is a great venue for the manufacturer to showcase its vehicles which will have the large attention of the public hence this largely enables the manufacturer to showcase the future of their mobility. Following are the cars that are expected to showcase by MG Motors.
Hector & Hector Plus Facelift
The Hector and Hector plus have been very significant models in their respective segments. The Hector is one of the most anticipated models to be showcased at the auto expo. The midlife refresh of the vehicle has been spied on many times before and the carmaker has teased the facelift version. The Hector is the first model of the brand in the country and also the best-selling model. The facelift of both Hector and Hector plus will be revealed at the Auto Expo with updated changes both inside and outside. However, the engine will remain unchanged. That is the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (with hybrid assist) and a 2-litre diesel engine.
Gloster Facelift
Gloster is the brand’s flagship SUV in the country that is positioned in the D segment. The SUV is the largest vehicle offering from the brand and the updated Gloster is expected to come with cosmetic changes inside and outside. However, under the hood, the large SUV is expected to come with the same 2-litre turbo diesel with 161PS and a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine with 215.5PS, the latter equipped with AWD.
Air EV
MG Motors has already gotten into electric mobility with the ZS EV and the carmaker is expected to offer an entry-level EV in the country. The Air EV is a micro EV that made its debut in the Indonesian market and soon it will come to India. Internationally, it comes with two battery options: 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh, with claimed ranges of 200km and 300km, respectively
ZS EV facelift
The current electric offering from the brand ZS EV is expected to get a facelift. A patented image conveys that the ZS EV will get some cosmetic changes outside that have integrated space for equipping advanced driver assist tech. however, the vehicle will remain mechanically unchanged powered by the same 50.3kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 461km.
Other expected models
MG Motors is also looking forward to showcasing some of its electric models that are on sale internationally which include the MG 4 electric hatchback and MG 5 electric estate. The MG 4 electric hatchback offers a range of 450 Km whereas the MG 5 electric estate offers a range of 400 Km. The British manufacturer is also likely to showcase its turbo petrol and hybrid sedan MG 6. Along with these models MG motors will showcase some of its concept cars too. However, the carmaker hasn’t officially stated the vehicles that are to be showcased at the auto expo. These are the models expected to showcase by the brand at the event. Maybe the carmaker could bring something extra cool with models other than the expected ones.
