Mercedes Benz To Launch GLA and AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelift On January 31

Mercedes Benz will introduce the GLA and AMG GLE 53 Coupe in India on January 31. The GLA is one of the best-selling models of Mercedes Benz in India as it is the entry-level SUV offering of the company and the global debut took place in May 2023. The updated model has many design changes at the front, featuring all-around LED lighting and colour-matched wheel arches. The interior gets subtle enhancements, including an updated MBUX infotainment system, ambient lighting, and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

While the engine options remain unchanged—1.3-litre turbo-petrol with 163 hp, and 2.0-litre diesel with 190 hp. The price range is expected to be between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 49 lakh, ex-showroom, India. The company is also expected to introduce the performance version of the AMG GLA 34 4Matic. Meanwhile, the refreshed GLE Coupe made its debut IN February but it will be introduced only in the AMG 53. The design is similar to the regular SUV model but the main difference is the coupe-like design.

The GLE 53 Coupe comes with distinctive differences in the swooping roofline at the side and rear. Powered by a robust 435hp, 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, complemented by a 48V mild-hybrid assist delivering an additional 22hp, the GLE Coupe maintains its high-performance allure. The 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic AWD system ensure a swift 0-100kph time of 5.3 seconds, which is almost similar to the pre-facelift model. Mercedes Benz is planning to launch more than 10 models this year to keep the positive growth.
