Mercedes Benz GLC Unofficial Bookings Open, Launch Next Month

Mercedes Benz best-selling model in India is GLC and the German manufacturer is planning to introduce the new generation model next month in India. The company is currently conducting final stage of testing as they have released some images of it. According to new reports, unofficial bookings for the new GLC open in some dealerships for a token amount of Rs. 50,000.

The overall dimensions have increased as the length has gone up by 60 mm and the wheelbase by 15 mm, which will increase space inside the cabin. The height has decreased by 2 mm and the drag coefficient decreased to 0.29 from 0.31. The engineers optimised many parts like underbody panelling, wheels and wheel spoilers, roof spoiler and more to reduce the drag as it will improve efficiency also. The design theme of the new GLC is similar to C-Class with big grille upfront with new LED headlamps and tail lamps.

The interior is shared with the new C Class as the dashboard is dominated by an 11.9-inch screen placed vertically with the latest-generation MBUX software and the instrument cluster is a 12.3-inch unit as it is one of the best in the Industry. Mercedes has packed the GLC with lots of the latest tech and safety features. Globally, GLC is available with lots of engine options but in India, we could see the same petrol and diesel engines from C Class with electric assist.
