Mercedes Benz GLC Launched In India At Rs. 73.5 Lakh

Mercedes Benz officially launched the second-generation GLC in India at the starting price of Rs. 73.5 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) for 300 4Matic Petrol and Rs. 74.5 lakh (Ex-Showroom) for 220d 4Matic. The second-generation is available only in Avantgarde trim as the company is likely to offer the AMG trim later if customer demand exist. The new GLC is based on the second-generation MFA2 platform which also underpin the new-generation C Class which was introduced last year.

The second-generation GLC is 60mmm longer than the earlier model while the wheelbase increased by 15 mm as it increased the overall space inside the cabin. The overall design theme is similar to the earlier model but the company has made some changes to make it inline with the rest of the portfolio. Mercedes Benz will offer six exterior colour options Graphite Grey, Polar White, Nautic Blue, Mojave Silver and Obsidian Black. The interior also comes with three colour options – all black, sienna brown and macchiato beige.

The interior gets 12.3 inch instrument cluster and 11.9-inch infotainment system which is placed vertically. Mercedes Benz latest software is offered on the new GLC and it comes with lots of connected tech. The GLC is powered by 2.0 L four-cylinder engine produces 258 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque and the 2.0 L diesel engine get 197 hp of power and 440 Nm of torque. Both engines get 48-Volt mild-hybrid system with 23 hp and 200 Nm, mated to 9-speed gearbox.
