By Mercedes AMG GLE 53 Coupe facelift launched in India at Rs. 1.85 Crore (Ex-Showroom). The pre-facelift version of the GLE Coupe was introduced in 2020 and the German manufacturer discontinued the SUV Coupe before the introduction of the GLE facelift. The AMG GLE 53 Coupe is powered by a 3.0 L six-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 435 hp of power and 560 Nm of torque. This engine also gets a 48-volt mild hybrid system which produces 20 hp of power and 200 Nm of torque, which will help in overall driveability.
Earlier we got the GLE 63 Coupe version, which offered more performance but the company decided to downgrade this time, still, the numbers are impressive as 0-100 kph comes up in 5 sec. When compared to the earlier model, the time has come down by 0.3 sec and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kph. In terms of design theme, the AMG GLE 53 Coupe is exactly similar to the GLE facelift version, which was introduced last year but this is an AMG version which comes with sporty aesthetics.
The AMG front bumper has been tweaked along with updated headlamps and LED DRLs. The alloy wheels are 21-inch with different options available while the rear gets new LED tail lamps. The changes to the interior are mostly in colour theme as the dashboard is dominated by dual 12.3-inch screens one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster with the latest MBUX software. According to Mercedes, there are lots of options available and if the customer ticks most of them, the price will be around Rs. 2.25 Crore.
