By Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the Jimny soon after the Fronx. The model was already spotted at a dealership and now the Jimny was seen again on public roads. The company has already received more than 30,000 bookings for the Jimny as it is one of the most anticipated models at the Auto Expo. The Jimny 5 door comes with modern tech and a traditional boxy-like design. The traditional design of the vehicle is cute with the overall propositions of the vehicle. Jimny 5-door is equipped 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and connected car technologies.
The Jimny also get automatic climate controls, power windows, keyless entry and power folding ORVMs, rear parking sensors, 6 airbags, ABS and EBD as a part of its safety features. Cabin space will be at a premium over its 3-door version with added boot space as well. The vehicle is powered by a 1.5 litre K15C DualJet petrol engine that produces 102 hp power at 6,000 rpm and 137 Nm torque at 4,400 rpm mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission options. It will also get Suzuki’s AllGrip all-wheel drive setup as standard.
