By Maruti Suzuki has the largest CNG portfolio among all the manufacturers and the WagonR is one of the best selling CNG models. The company officially introduced the WagonR CNG in February 2020 and it was available with just three colour options – Magma Grey, Silky Silver and Solid White. Now, India’s largest car manufacturer by volume has added three new colours to WagonR CNG – Autumn Orange, Nutmeg Brown and Poolside Blue.
The addition of new colour options will certainly make the WagonR more appealing. The CNG model is only available in base trims – LXi and LXi (O). The only difference between both these models is the safety features as the LXi comes with just one airbag while the option variant gets dual-airbags along with seat-belt pre-tensioner and force limiters for front seats only. While the regular model is offered in VXi and ZXi trims.
Maruti Suzuki uses S-CNG technology in all the models, which is safer and offers better performance too. The Intelligent Injection System seamlessly communicates with each other to provide an optimum air-fuel ratio during combustion, thereby ensuring better and consistent performance along with high fuel efficiency. The company also offers Auto-Switch as it helps you to easily and instantly switch between CNG and Petrol.
Maruti Suzuki S-CNG vehicles come equipped with a precision fuel level indicator that lets you track your vehicle’s fuel level. All CNG cars of Maruti Suzuki gets an NGV receptacle, which is a special nozzle that assists in faster and safer CNG refuelling. The WagonR CNG is powered by a 1.0 L K-Series engine that produces 58 hp and 75 Nm, mated to a 5-speed manual. The claimed CNG range is 33.54km/kg and the CNG fuel tank capacity is 60 litres.
