By Kia India has officially increased the price of new Seltos. The price increase, as per the company’s official website, ranges up to Rs. 30,000, impacting various trims within the Seltos lineup. This update follows a little over two months since the launch of the facelifted 2023 Kia Seltos on July 21, 2023, which was preceded by the opening of order books on July 14, 2023. The revised prices reveal that the top-end variants, GTX+ and X-Line, have seen notable increases. The GTX+ variant’s price has risen by Rs. 20,000, now retailing at Rs. 20.00 lakh (ex-showroom), while the X-Line trim is now available at Rs. 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting a Rs. 30,000 increase.
The Kia Seltos has been generating substantial interest, evident from its impressive booking numbers. Within the first 24 hours of opening bookings, the compact SUV secured a remarkable 13,424 reservations, setting a record as the highest first-day booking figure in its segment. In the following month, the Seltos garnered an astonishing 31,716 bookings, reaffirming its popularity. Over the span of two months, the total bookings exceeded the 50,000 mark, marking a significant milestone in the fiercely competitive mid-SUV segment.
The 2023 Kia Seltos offers a variety of engine and transmission options to cater to diverse customer preferences. The lineup includes a 1.5-litre petrol engine with the choice of a 6-speed manual or a CVT, a 1.5-litre diesel engine with options of a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic, and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that can be paired with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT transmission. These options provide a wide range of performance and efficiency choices for prospective buyers in the Indian market.
