By Kia officially launched the diesel manual variant of the Seltos in India at the starting price of Rs. 11.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The Seltos was earlier available with a manual gearbox but the company discontinued the model later as they introduced the iMT variant as the Korean manufacturer expected the customers to choose it over the regular manual variant. The Seltos Diesel manual is available in five variants – HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+. The top-end variant of the Seltos Diesel comes at Rs. 18.28 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
Now the Seltos is available in five different gearbox options – Manual, iMT, CVT, Torque Convertor and DCT. Among them, the price of the diesel manual variant was not announced at the launch. The diesel engine is the 1.5 L unit producing 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is also available with a 6-speed torque converter, which is one of the most popular choices among customers. The company has packed the Seltos diesel manual with features like dual-zone climate control, a heads-up display, ventilated seats and more.
The Seltos has been a huge success for Kia as the company has sold more than 65,000 units of the facelift model, which was introduced back in July. The updated model comes with a slight redesign with redesigned headlamps, a tweaked grille and a new bumper. On the side, changes are limited to new alloy wheels while the rear gets LED tail lamps and those are connected too while the interior comes with updated features. The Seltos is going to face stiff competition from the updated Hyundai Creta.
