By Mahindra has quietly expanded the colour palette for its popular off-roader, the Thar, by adding a striking new shade called ‘Deep Forest’. This military green colour option brings the total number of available colours for the Thar to six, giving potential buyers more variety to express their personal style. The introduction of ‘Deep Forest’ is part of Mahindra’s ongoing effort to keep the Thar fresh and appealing to off-road enthusiasts. In addition to this new shade, the Thar’s colour options include Stealth Black and Desert Fury, two shades that were recently introduced.
The Stealth Black option was added in March this year, and Desert Fury is exclusive to the Thar Earth Edition. The classic colour choices of Red Rage, Deep Grey, and Everest White continue to be available, ensuring a broad spectrum of options for buyers. While the new ‘Deep Forest’ colour enhances the aesthetic appeal of the Thar, no mechanical changes have been made to the vehicle. The Thar remains available with two robust engine options: a 2.2-litre diesel engine that delivers 130 BHP and 300 Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 150 BHP and 300-320 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, catering to different driving preferences.
The Thar’s rugged design, combined with its powerful engine options and the new colour choices, continues to make it a formidable contender in the off-road segment. The addition of the ‘Deep Forest’ shade not only broadens the appeal of the Thar but also reinforces Mahindra’s commitment to providing customers with a versatile and customizable off-roading vehicle.
