Jaguar XF Facelift Spied Once Again, Debut Later This Year

Jaguar is currently working on the mid-life facelift for the XF and the test mule has been spotted once again, this time the company is testing the China-only long-wheelbase model and Sportbrake variant too. According to an earlier report, Jaguar is not expected to make major design changes like the updated E Class as most of the changes could be limited to the front with updated headlamps with new lights along with a redesigned bumper.

The side could get a new set of alloy wheels with a different design theme while the tail lamps will be tweaked along with a new bumper. But the interior will be completely different than the outgoing model. The XE facelift also received a similar approach as the company is focusing heavily on improving the overall quality of the cabin. The infotainment system will be updated to improve feedback and the software is going to be the latest version with all the telematics features.

Apart from this, Jaguar might add some new features like wireless charging, touch-sensitive buttons on the steering wheel, refreshed digital instrument cluster, a secondary camera on the shark-fin antenna for better rear visibility and more. The overall dimension of XF will be the same as the current model but the rear seat could get some more features to take on the E Class and the upright position of the current seat might be changed for better comfort.

In Europe, Jaguar is expected to offer the XF with both petrol and diesel engines as the latter could be the updated 3.0 L unit to meet the new emission norms. Jaguar is currently offering the XF with a 2.0 L turbo petrol engine in India but the company will introduce diesel engines soon after tweaking the engine to meet BS6 norms. The XF facelift is likely to make its global debut later this year and the performance-oriented S variant could be axed.
