Hyundai Creta Facelift Bookings Officially Open, Launch On January 16th

Hyundai officially opened the bookings of the Creta facelift in India. The booking amount is Rs. 25,000 and customers can either book the Creta via the official website or at the dealership. The company has released several images of the exterior and interior, which gives us a sneak peek of the new avatar of Creta. The front design of the Creta is completely different to the current model and it is in line other some of the new generation models of Hyundai. The LED DRLs run across the front thus giving a wider feel for the SUV.

The front grille gets a new design and the full LED headlamps are vertically placed, even though the fog lamps are not visible in the teaser image, we can expect them to be placed on the lower part of the bumper. The company has given faux skid plates which are wider than the earlier model. Hyundai has also redesigned the mirrors while the changes to the side could be limited to a new design for the alloy wheels. The rear gets new full-length LED tail lamps, which have a similar design to the front DRLs. The bumper design is also new compared to the outgoing model.

The spoiler also comes with a new design and is integrated into the body with a high-mounted stop lamp. The Creta facelift is available in 6-single tone colour options – Robust Emerald Pearl (New), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White and Titan Grey, along with a single dual-tone colour option – Atlas White with Black Roof. The company has also released an image of the interior, which gives us a first look and the design theme is completely different to the outgoing model as the overall design theme is elegant.

Hyundai has given the instrument cluster and infotainment system under a single glass with split screens just like the earlier Mercedes models. Both these screens are expected to be 12.3-inch units. The updated model is expected to come with more features than the current model while the company is also focusing on safety as the Creta is likely to get a level-II ADAS system. The Creta is available in seven variants – E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, SX (O). Hyundai Creta facelift will be powered by two petrol and one diesel engine with the option of four different transmission options.
