Husqvarna Officially Revealed New Svartpilen 401

Husqvarna officially revealed the next generation of Svartpilen 401 and the company has made lots of changes both in terms of aesthetics as well as mechanical elements. The motorcycle retains its signature rugged looks, now accentuated by a larger round LED headlight with an LED ring on the periphery. The overall design has been refined, with reworked side panels and a new visor on the front fascia. Another big change which happened with the new generation model is the introduction of an underbelly exhaust system and it is similar to what we have seen on the KTM 390 Duke.

The company has also replaced the single-side mounted tyre hugger and instead of that the new Svartpilen 401 gets a more conventional tail set up. The new trellis frame, borrowed from its Austrian sibling, adds structural strength. The Svartpilen 401 is powered by a 398.6cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, generating an impressive 46bhp at 9,000rpm and 39Nm at 7,000rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features a bi-directional quick-shifter. The company has added various features such as ride-by-wire, traction control, Supermoto ABS, a five-inch TFT display with optional smartphone connectivity, and a type-C charging port.

The 2024 Svartpilen 401 rides on adjustable WP Apex USD front forks and an adjustable WP Apex monoshock. The braking power comes from a 320mm front and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The Swedish maker has given 17-inch spoke wheels at the front and rear while the tyres come from Pirelli. The Svartpilen 401 comes with 13.5 litres of fuel tank while the kerb weight of the motorcycle is 171.2 kgs. Husqvarna priced the 2024 Svartpilen 401 at Rs. 2.92 Lakh.
