By Honda is planning to launch a new commuter bike in the Indian market on March 15th as the company has released the first teaser of the bike. The Japanese manufacturer hasn’t revealed any details of the bike but from the teaser, it looks similar to the Shine 125 and it could be part of the Shine family as the brand is popular in the Indian market. We are not expecting anything revolutionary as the pricing will play an important role in the success of the bike.
Currently, the Japanese manufacturer doesn’t offer any bikes in the 100 cc segment which is one of the biggest in the country and the Splendor is the king in this segment. The engine will be tuned for efficiency and the features will be basic. Recently, Honda lost the second position in the Indian market to TVS as they have volumes coming from just Activa and Shine while all other models’ sales are mediocre so they need something to ignite the sales chart.
