Honda NX500 Pre-Bookings Open, Dealer Dispatch This Week

Ever since the global debut of the new Honda NX500 at EICMA, 2023, enthusiasts have been waiting for the India launch. The leaked details indicated that NX500 will be launched soon in India followed by reports that some dealerships have started accepting bookings for the NX500 unofficially. After a lot of waiting, Honda has officially opened the pre-bookings for the NX500 in India and the booking amount is Rs. 10,000. The NX500 is going to be the replacement model for the CB500X in Honda’s lineup as adventure motorcycles are growing fast in India.

Our sources have confirmed that the dealership dispatch of the first batch of NX500 will begin this week. The deliveries of the NX500 are expected to begin by the end of February or early March. The NX500 will be offered in just two colour options – Red and Black. The heart of the NX500 is a 471 cc parallel twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 47 bhp of power and 43 Nm of torque, this engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Honda has updated the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for better acceleration.

In terms of the design theme, the NX500 is a proper adventure motorcycle with a big fairing and a round LED headlamp. For better protection for riders from the wind, Honda has given a large windscreen too. The NX500 is equipped with a 41 mm Showa upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by dual 296 mm discs up front and a single disc at the rear. The NX500 rides on a 19-inch wheel at the front with a 110/80-section tyre and a 17-inch wheel at the rear with a 160/60-section tyre.
