By Hero is going to expand the Xtreme lineup with the introduction of a new 125 cc commuter model and the images of the Xtreme 125R leaked ahead of the official debut. One of the standout features of the Xtreme 125R is going to be its design theme as most commuter motorcycles get a basic design theme as they focus on function overlooks. The Xtreme 125R follows a different as the motorcycle looks sporty with an edgy design to it. The headlamp design is somewhat similar to what we have already seen on the Xtreme 200R.
The Xtreme 125R comes with an LED headlamp and the design is aggressive while the company has given LED indicators also. The fuel tank design has lots of cuts and curves with a bulky theme to it. This makes the Xtreme 125R stand out from the competitors and the footpegs appear to be positioned slightly sporty. The company has given split seats up in which the pillion seat is positioned slightly taller even though not in the same league as R15. The rear gets an LED tail lamp along with split grab rails.
We can expect Hero to offer sporty colour themes for the Xtreme 125R and the instrument cluster could be a fully digital unit. Hero might offer smartphone connectivity as it is one of the features popular among customers. The Xtreme 125R comes with telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by the disc brake at the front and drum at the rear. The heart of the Xtreme 125R is a 125 cc single-cylinder engine producing 12 bhp and 11 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
