Ford India Responds To Customer Inquiries Regarding Re-entry

Ford officially announced in 2021 that the company will exit the Indian automobile market in a phased manner. Since then one of the plants has been already sold to Tata Motors and the American manufacturer was planning to sell the second plant in Chennai to JSW Group. During the final process, the deal fell off and the company decided to keep the plant. This decision surprised everyone in the Industry and since then everyone has been speculating about the re-entry of American manufacturers to India.

Then the company filed a design patent for the new-generation Endeavour in India and it was almost sure that Ford would make a comeback. Ford has so many loyal fans across the country and one of them sent a mail to the company regarding its plans. Then the company responded with “Thank you for contacting Ford India. We thank you for choosing our product. We appreciate the time you have taken to write to us. We have noted down the contents of your mail. We wish to inform you that at present, we are not in a position to commit to a launch; kindly bear with us. Assuring you of our best support always.”

The mail doesn’t confirm anything but the company is evaluating its re-entry as it needs time to plan everything because of the initial failure. Most of the products of Ford India have been successful but the company didn’t keep up with the market requirements as they didn’t introduce next-generation models at regular intervals to keep customers coming back as it is one of the primary reasons for the lack of profit. We certainly hope that the new management of Ford will make the right decisions.
