By Ford EcoSport Titanium Automatic launched in India at Rs. 10.66 lakh (Ex-Showroom). Earlier automatic was only offered in the Titanium Plus variant, which is priced at almost a lakh above the new variant. The automatic option is available only with the new petrol engine introduced in EcoSport as the BS6 1.5 L 3-cylinder petrol engine produces 122 PS of power and 149 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 6-speed torque convertor.
Earlier Ford offered dual-clutch automatic transmission with EcoSport but the company discontinued it due to cost. The EcoSport is known for its fun driving nature and to enhance it the company is offering paddle shifters also. Ford is offering the EcoSport Titanium Automatic with FordPass, which is the connected car service of Ford as it offers remote engine start along with lock and unlocks. All the details can be accessed via a smartphone application.
“With the new Titanium trim in the 2020 EcoSport line-up, we wish more consumers to enjoy the
convenience of an automatic without compromising on the fun-of-driving. The outstanding value
on offer will ensure that consumers no longer settle for underwhelming automatic technologies
available in the market,” said Vinay Raina, executive director for Marketing, Sales and Service
at Ford India.
The mid-variant of EcoSport comes loaded with lots of features like a touch-screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an in-built navigation system, cruise control, traction control, ESP and more. Along with the petrol engine, Ford also offers EcoSport with a 1.5 L diesel engine producing 99 hp of power and 215 Nm of torque. This engine with a manual gearbox as standard. Ford EcoSport compete against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 300 and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
