By Citroen continues its testing phase of the C3X and this time the test mule was spotted in Southern Europe. Recently, fresh spy shots emerged, providing a closer look at this intriguing new model. From the front, it’s evident that the Citroen C3X shares a striking resemblance with its hatchback sibling, the C3. The front profile features a familiar headlight and DRL (Daytime Running Light) setup. Although the overall look is reminiscent of the C3, Citroen may make subtle adjustments to the bumper and grille to distinguish the two models.
The side profile up to the B-pillar maintains a strong resemblance to the C3 hatchback, but the design takes an interesting turn beyond this point. A noticeable sloping roofline toward the rear, though partially concealed in the prototype, hints at a dynamic and stylish appearance. Moving to the rear, the taillights bear a resemblance to both the hatchback and the C3 Aircross SUV, but a distinct bumper design is expected to set the C3X apart. Inside the Citroen C3X, it’s anticipated that the interior will largely mirror that of the hatchback, offering similar features and possibly some enhancements. Positioned between the hatchback and the C3 Aircross, the C3X aims to provide a balanced blend of comfort and style.
Under the hood, the C3X is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 110 PS and 190 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, there will be no diesel engine option available. Citroen in India has another reason to celebrate as the automaker prepares to introduce the C3 Aircross to the Indian market. Bookings for the C3 Aircross will commence on September 15th, with the official launch scheduled for October. Pricing details will be revealed on the launch day, adding to the anticipation surrounding Citroen’s expanding lineup in India.
