By Citroen is developing C3X, which is going to be a crossover sedan and it will be the fifth product of the French manufacturer. Earlier there were reports that the C3X production model would be delayed as the company is making some changes to the product as they don’t want to make the same mistake as the earlier products, especially on features. But Aditya Jairaj, Stellantis India CEO and MD confirmed that details of the C3X will be revealed in a couple of weeks, so the initial launch time is not expected to change.
The French manufacturer introduced the C3 Aircross earlier this year but the SUV is not feature-loaded when compared to competitors, which has hampered the sales as the initial expectations from the company were high. Even heavy discounts were offered in the last few months but still, it hasn’t helped the overall product to increase sales. The cost-cutting is too much as it was the general feedback from most of the media and prospective customers which is why Citroen decided to change the approach with the C3X.
Some of the features we can expect on the Citroen C3X include climate control, a 360-degree camera, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, keyless entry, push-button start, sunroof, ventilated front seats, rear AC vents and more. Apart from this, the company will offer lots of customising options just like other C-series products. The notchback sedan will be powered by a 1.2 L turbo petrol engine producing 110 hp of power and it will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with the option of a 6-speed automatic gearbox in the future.
