Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic Launched At Rs. 12.85 Lakh

Citroen officially launched the C3 Aircross automatic in India at the starting price of Rs. 12.85 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The C3 Aircross automatic is available in two variants – Plus and Max. The Max is priced at Rs. 13.50 lakh for the 5-seater and Rs. 13.85 lakh for the 7-seater (Both Prices, Ex-Showroom). The automatic variant has been expected for a very long time as it is the first CMP model in India to offer the automatic variant. When compared to the manual variant, the price has increased by Rs. 1.30 lakh.

The company had already commenced bookings of the C3 Aircross automatic in India and the booking amount is Rs. 25,000. The Indonesian version of the C3 Aircross automatic comes with a 6-speed torque convertor gearbox sourced from Aisin, which is a Japanese manufacturer that provides gearboxes for lots of models like the Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and more. However, the company had mentioned during the media drive that the components for the C3 Aircross have been sourced.

The C3 Aircross automatic is powered by the same 1.2 L turbocharged petrol engine from the manual model which produces 110 bhp of power but the torque output has increased to 205 Nm which is 15 Nm more than the manual gearbox. The ARAI claimed mileage of the C3 Aircross automatic is 17.6 kmpl. The gearbox doesn’t come with paddle shifters but the company has given a trip tronic option. The design theme of the manual and automatic variants remains the same even though the French manufacturer hasn’t provided an automatic badge.
