This move underscores BNCAP’s commitment to fostering transparency and accountability in the automotive industry, empowering consumers with vital information to make informed vehicle purchase decisions. Rahul Bharti, Head of Corporate Affairs, divulged during a recent earnings investor call that leading automaker Maruti Suzuki has eagerly awaited the outcome for three of its models submitted for testing by BNCAP. Anticipation runs high as insider sources suggest that these models are poised to clinch top ratings, affirming their safety prowess.

The Maruti Baleno, Grand Vitara, and Brezza, entrusted to BNCAP in January 2023, have reportedly navigated through stringent testing regimes, including assessments by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and the Central Road Transport Institute, with flying colours. Amidst regulatory constraints imposed by the model code of conduct during general elections, stakeholders have urged manufacturers to expedite the release of test results, wary of any potential delay.
