Bajaj Chetak Premium Launched In India At Rs. 1.35 Lakh

Bajaj officially launched the Chetak Premium in India at the starting price of Rs. 1.35 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The 2024 Premium variant is priced at a premium of Rs 15,000 over its predecessor. The most significant upgrade is the introduction of a powerful 3.2kWh battery pack, a notable increase from the earlier 2.88kWh unit. This added power results in a claimed increased range of 127km on a single charge. However, the trade-off is a longer charging time, now requiring 4 hours and 30 minutes for a 0-100 per cent charge. This extension in charging time is a direct consequence of the larger battery capacity.

A noteworthy addition to the 2024 Chetak Premium is the 5-inch TFT dash, a technological leap that brings the scooter in line with contemporary electric vehicles. This interactive display offers features such as navigation updates, notification alerts, and music playback when paired with a smartphone. However, it’s important to note that these features, along with sequential indicators and the Sport riding mode, are exclusively available with the optional TecPac, priced at an additional Rs 9,000 during the Chetak purchase.

Maintaining its commitment to innovation, the Chetak Premium continues to offer features such as hill hold assist, keyless ignition, and reverse mode. These features, combined with the upgraded battery pack and advanced TFT dash, position the 2024 Chetak Premium as a formidable player in the electric scooter segment, catering to riders seeking both performance and cutting-edge technology. We can expect the sales of the Bajaj Chetak models to pick up with the introduction of these new variants.
