Another Production Milestone For BYD, Rolls Out 7 Millionth NEV

BYD is one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle manufacturers in the world as the company has already overtaken Tesla to become the number-one EV manufacturer in the world. Now the Chinese manufacturer has achieved another major milestone as the company rolls out its seven millionth New Energy Vehicle (NEV). This is incredible considering that the six millionth vehicle was produced three months back and the company took a very short amount of time to achieve the next million which shows how popular the models are.

The Chinese manufacturer achieved its first one million production milestone in 2021 and since then the growth has been exponential. The three million production milestone came in December 2022. Then the pace really picked up as the five millionth vehicle rolled off from the production line in September 2023 while the six million milestone was achieved again in three months. The seven millionth vehicle was the Denza N7 SUV, which rolled off from its Jinan factory in China. This shows the efficiency of the company.

The company is planning to expand its operation to most of the International markets and this has resulted in growth as BYD sold 3.02 million vehicles last year when compared to 2022, the growth is more than 337 per cent. The Chinese maker is expecting this positive momentum to continue this year. The company introduced the much-awaited Seal this year in the Indian market at a price point, which was not expected and thus resulted in a really great response as they have already got more than 200 bookings.
