By Kawasaki officially launched the Versys 650 in India at the starting price of Rs. 7.77 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). One of the key highlights of the 2024 Versys 650 is its refreshed aesthetics, now available in two striking paint schemes – Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Matte Dark Gray. Both options come with a dual-tone design, accentuating the bike’s aggressive stance with contrasting black paint complemented by vibrant red and green colours. Adding a touch of sophistication, a white line runs along the side panels and the headlight cowl, enhancing the bike’s visual appeal.
Despite the cosmetic enhancements, the core elements of the Versys 650 remain unchanged from its predecessor. The bike retains its sharp-looking split LED headlight, offering excellent visibility on the road, while a transparent visor adds to the aerodynamic profile. Under the hood, the 2024 Versys 650 continues to be powered by a robust 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, delivering 65.7 bhp and 61 Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed gearbox and equipped with a slipper clutch, this bike ensures a smooth and responsive ride across diverse terrains.
In terms of features, the Versys 650 remains well-equipped, featuring LED illumination, a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, a USB charging port, switchable traction control, and ABS. The suspension setup comprises USD forks with preload and rebound adjustability, allowing riders to customize the bike’s response according to road conditions. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm front and a single 250mm rear disc brakes, offering reliable stopping power. The deliveries are expected to begin soon.
