2023 Hyundai Verna Leaked Ahead of Debut

Hyundai Verna is the talk of the town as the company is gearing up to introduce the new generation model. This is the third article we publish today as the teasers keep coming but this time it is the real car itself as the new-generation Verna images have been leaked ahead of the official debut. From the teaser images, we know that the Verna will look a lot similar to the new Elantra and the front leaked image confirms as the grille is lower and wider than the current model.

The headlamps are full LED units, which run across the front while the indicators are positioned separately but we think they might double up as fog lamps too as the usual fog lamp housing is used to accommodate a bigger air curtain, which will reduce drag. We can see the huge ADAS sensor placed below the number plate holder and the Hyundai logo as it is placed on top of the hood as we have seen on the recently updated Grand i10 NIOS and Aura.

The side design is simple as it doesn’t have so many cuts and curves instead the lines are subtle as it follows the same pattern as Ioniq 5. The coupe-like design might affect the headroom but still, in terms of design, everything works well. We can also expect sporty-looking alloy wheels but they might be offered only on the top-end variant. The rear is still not leaked but we can safely assume that the lights will be LED and look really good, especially at the night.

Like the exterior, the interior is going to be a revelation as the dashboard will be dominated by dual 12.3-inch screens with one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster. Hyundai will pack the Verna with lots of features. The engine lineup is interesting as the Verna gets a new 1.5 L turbo petrol engine with 160 PS and 260 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT, which will make it the most powerful car in its segment.
