By Hyundai commenced the social media teasing of the new-generation Verna yesterday but the sedan was not yet showcased. Now the company has officially opened bookings for the new-generation Verna in India and the token amount is Rs. 25,000. Along with the announcement, the Korean manufacturer has released the teaser of the new Verna, which shows the front, side and rear of the upcoming sedan and it looks stunning compared to the current model.
As we reported earlier, the Verna will follow the latest design language of Hyundai and the sedan looks sharper from every angle. The front gets a full-length LED DRL which runs across the nose while the LED headlamps are placed below it. The grille is much wider and sits lower while we can’t see fog lamps but it will be part of the package. The side looks flowing and the coupe-like stance from the current model continues with the new generation too.
Like the front, the rear also gets connected led light for the tail lamps and Hyundai has given a crystal-type design to it with the Verna name placed in the middle of it. The interior is expected to be a big step up with dual 12.3-inch screens dominating the dashboard and the sedan will be packed with lots of features like climate control, sunroof, rear-AC vents, leatherette seats, digital instrument cluster, six airbags, TPMS, 360-degree camera and more.
The Verna will be the first car in its segment to come with level-II ADAS features and it will make a big impact in the market. Hyundai will offer the Verna in four trim options – EX, S, SX, and SX(O). Hyundai will offer the Verna with 7-monotone colour and two dual-tone options. The engine options for the new Verna will meet the upcoming emission norms and there will be four engine options including the new 1.5 L turbo petrol engine with manual and DCT. Hyundai is expected to reveal the new Verna soon in the Indian market.
