Triumph Daytona 660 Teased Ahead Of Next Month Debut

Triumph officially released a new teaser of an upcoming motorcycle as the British manufacturer hasn’t mentioned the name of the model but there are some hints from the teaser. The caption of the teaser says “THE RULES ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE”, which should be an indication of what we can expect from the upcoming motorcycle. From the teaser, we can confirm that the upcoming motorcycle is the Daytona 660 as the 660 name is written on the fairing as it could be the final addition to the 660 series family.

The Daytona 660 will come with dual-LED headlamps and the fairing design is expected to be in line with other Daytona models. Another thing we can notice from the teaser is the clip-on-handlebars and the foot pegs are positioned on the sportier side. The mirrors are designed in such a way as to improve airflow around them. Triumph might have given underbelly exhaust for the Daytona 660 even though it is not very clear from the teaser. Like the Tiger Sport and Trident, the Daytona 660 could also get a fully digital instrument cluster.

The design theme of the instrument cluster might be similar to what we have seen in the 660 series as it will keep costs in check and it could be loaded with all the bells and whistles like Bluetooth option and more. The Daytona 660 is powered by the same 660 cc 3-cylinder engine producing 80 bhp of power at 10,250 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The launch will take place on January 9 and the market launch can be expected soon.
