By Toyota officially launched the Urban Cruiser Taisor in India at the starting price of Rs. 7.74 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The Taisor is the re-badged version of Fronx, which itself is based on the Baleno hatchback. The Fronx has been one of the most popular models of Maruti Suzuki and the Taisor is expected to replicate the success of its donor car. Like most of the cross-badged models, the Urban Cruiser Taisor is exactly similar to the Fronx but the company has made some subtle exterior tweaks to give a refreshed look.
The exterior changes start with the new grille which is different from Maruti and the LED DRLs also get a different design. The Maruti Suzuki logo has been replaced by the Toyota logo in the middle. The 16-inch alloy wheels design is different from the Fronx. At the rear, the Taisor retained the connected tail lamps set up of the Fronx but the lighting elements appear to be different. The company has also given minor tweaks to the bumper. The Urban Cruiser Tasior is available in Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Sportin Red, Lucent Orange, and Gaming Grey colour options.
The interior design is exactly similar to the Fronx and the only difference between both models is the badging as the Tasior comes with the Toyota logo in the middle while the Fronx gets the Suzuki logo on the steering wheel. The Taisor comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, a wireless charger and more. Toyota offers both a 1.2 L NA petrol engine and a 1.0 L turbo petrol unit as gearbox options include a 5-speed manual, AMT and torque converter.
