By Toyota Fortuner is the best-selling model in its segment and the company has introduced a new limited edition variant called Leader Edition in the Indian market. The Leader Edition is based on the 4×2 variant of Fortuner as most of the changes are aesthetics and it will increase in price when compared to the regular model the Japanese manufacturer has yet to officially reveal the price of this limited edition model as it will depend on the specific accessories selected by the customers which will vary from one place to another.
On the exterior, the Fortuner Leader Edition comes in three dual-tone colour options – Super white, Platinum Pearl white and Silver Metallic, along with contrasting black options also available for the customers. Toyota also offers black alloy wheels on the Fortuner Leader Edition along with a spoiler at the front and rear bumper which will make it stand out from regular models. The interior changes on the new Fortuner Leader Edition are limited to just dual-tone seat covers, a tyre pressure monitor, auto-folding ORVMs, and a wireless charger.
All these features are available as part of the official accessories list from Toyota and they can be added to any Fortuner. The Fortuner Leader Edition is powered by a 2.8 L diesel engine producing 204 hp of power but the torque output is different for both manual and automatic variants with 500 Nm in the former and 420 Nm in the latter. The competition is going to heat up in the coming months with the introduction of the updated MG Gloster and Ford is going to bring back Endeavour but it might return as Everest.
