By Toyota officially revealed the facelift version of Camry. The Euro-spec version is the same model, which is available in India and the rest of the Asian continent as the Japanese manufacturer offers a sportier version of the Camry in the USA. The changes for the premium sedan is minor as the front gets tweaked projector headlamps with slightly sharper-looking LED DRLs and the bumper is also different from the outgoing version.
The side gets new alloy wheels design and in Europe, the company is offering either 18 or 19-inch wheels depending on the variant. The tail lamps of the updated Camry gets new LED elements and the design is also slightly different along with a new bumper. We can expect Toyota to offer new colour options. Like the exterior, changes for the interior are also minor as it starts with a new dark colour option for the dashboard and seats.
But in India, Toyota is likely to continue with the beige theme as it gives a premium feel for the cabin. The infotainment system is a brand new 9-inch system and the touch response is also much better according to Toyota. The company has also used new software too and it is expected to come with connected car features, which has become common among modern cars. The quality of the dashboard and other materials remains the same.
In Europe, Toyota offers lots of advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and more. Toyota Camry is powered by the same 2.5 L petrol engine with an electric motor set up. The combined power output is 221 PS and 218 Nm of torque, it is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. Toyota is expected to launch the updated Camry next year in India and the price of the new model is likely to be higher than the outgoing model.
