Tata Curvv’s Final Design Revealed in Spy Shots

Tata Motors is developing Curvv – a unique SUV coupe design that marks a departure from the conventional models typically seen from the Indian automaker. Recent spy shots have given us a closer look at the exterior styling of this upcoming sensation. The front profile of the Tata Curvv showcases a striking design featuring a muscular clamshell bonnet and a distinctive connected LED DRL strip. Notably, the main headlight is positioned on the bumper, reminiscent of the new Tata Nexon facelift. While the Curvv and Nexon share the same platform and will have many components in common, specific design elements will differentiate the two, especially in the front fascia.

Moving past the B-pillar, the Tata Curvv embarks on a design journey that sets it apart from the Nexon. The sloping roofline seamlessly integrates with the rear, creating a distinctive coupe-like appearance. Due to this stylish design, the rear quarter glass has been omitted, contributing to the Curvv’s unique character. The sleek and sporty tail lights carry forward the same captivating look that was originally unveiled in concept form at the 2023 Auto Expo. While the interior of the Curvv is expected to follow a layout similar to the Nexon, questions arise about how the SUV coupe design will impact rear passenger space and headroom. Typically, such designs compromise headroom to achieve their distinctive appearance.

Under the hood, the Tata Curvv is anticipated to offer the same engine options as the Nexon. This includes a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine generating 120 HP and 170 Nm of torque, as well as a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 HP and 160 Nm of torque. Furthermore, an electric version is in the pipeline, with options for both medium-range and Long Range variants. These electric powertrains deliver power outputs ranging from 129 HP to 142 HP and ARAI claimed ranges of 325 km to 465 km. The Curvv represents Tata’s foray into an exciting new segment and is poised to offer a compelling blend of design, performance, and electric powertrain options.
