Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Spotted In India

Royal Enfield is working on a 650 cc version of the Bullet in India. Recently, spy shots of the Bullet 650 surfaced, marking its maiden appearance on the testing grounds. What distinguishes this prototype as the Bullet 650, as opposed to the Classic 650, are distinctive design elements such as the boxy rear fender, the traditional round tubular grabrail for the pillion, and the characteristic single-piece seat – all reminiscent of the timeless Bullet aesthetics.

Anticipated to share its frame and underlying components with the Classic 650, the Bullet variant is likely to offer a similar feature set. Powered by a refined 650cc twin-cylinder engine, enthusiasts can expect a robust performance with an output of 47hp and 52Nm of torque, aligning with the existing models in the lineup. Continuing the trend observed in recent Royal Enfield releases, the Bullet 650 is equipped with modern features like the LED headlight, a feature initially introduced in the Super Meteor. However, one aspect that might draw criticism is the protruding twin exhaust pipes, reminiscent of the Shotgun and 650 twins, potentially posing challenges in congested urban traffic scenarios.

While the official release date remains undisclosed, speculation suggests that the Bullet 650 will occupy a position above the 650 twins but below the Shotgun 650, reflecting its more accessible nature in the Royal Enfield range. With the brand’s continuous efforts to expand its portfolio across different displacements and engine configurations, enthusiasts eagerly await the Bullet 650’s official debut, poised to carry forward the legacy of the iconic Bullet series into the future.
