By Nissan India shocked the automotive market with the price announcement of Magnite on December 2 as the compact SUV price starts at Rs. 4.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 10.35 lakh. Even though the price was introductory, the Magnite catered to a wide variety of customer base from hatchbacks to even sedans. The Japanese manufacturer received more than 5000 bookings for the Magnite in just 5 days of the price announcement.
The company has also announced that the enquires for Magnite is over 50,000, which is impressive considering that the brand was not really doing well in the Indian market until now. More than 60 per cent bookings are for the top-end variants and among them, almost 30 per cent is for the CVT variant. The top-end variant along with the automatic option of the Magnite is priced very competitively, which helped the compact SUV to beat the rivals.
Nissan Magnite is available in four variants – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. Apart from the base variant, Nissan is offering Technology pack with Magnite as it comes with LED Scuff Plates, Ambient mood lighting, Puddle lamps, Wireless charger, Air purifier and High-end JBL speakers. While the XV (O) variant comes with connected car features like Vehicle tracking Geofence and speed alerts, Vehicle status, Vehicle health info and Automated roadside assistance.
The compact SUV is the first model in its segment to come with 360-degree camera along with features like climate control, alloy wheels, full LED headlamps and more. Nissan Magnite is powered by two engine options as the entry-level model come with 1.0 L petrol engine producing 72 PS and the 1.0 L turbo variant comes with 100 PS. The standard gearbox option is 5-speed manual and turbo comes with CVT option too.
