Nissan Magnite AMT Launched In India At Rs. 6.50 Lakh

Nissan India has made a significant move in the subcompact SUV segment by introducing the Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift, the automated manual transmission (AMT) variant of its popular SUV. With an attractive introductory starting price of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the Magnite AMT is set to redefine affordability and convenience in the Indian SUV market. This new offering provides a budget-friendly alternative for buyers seeking the convenience of an automatic transmission.

At just Rs 50,000 more than the base manual variant, the Magnite AMT offers an excellent value proposition. Notably, this AMT version is approximately Rs 3.50 lakh more economical than the entry-level Turbo variant equipped with a CVT automatic. However, it’s essential to note that these introductory prices are valid for a limited time, expiring on November 11, 2023, so interested buyers should act promptly to secure this attractive pricing. With this move, the Nissan Magnite proudly claims the title of the most affordable SUV in India to offer an AMT gearbox.

Under the hood, the Magnite EZ-Shift features a 5-speed AMT, the same unit found in its mechanically related counterpart, the Renault Kiger. This transmission is coupled with the 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. Impressively, the Magnite AMT achieves a commendable ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figure of 19.70 Kmpl, making it slightly more fuel-efficient than its manual counterpart. Nissan has also incorporated features like a creep function and kick-down function to ensure a smooth and hassle-free driving experience.

Buyers can choose the Magnite AMT across various trim levels, including XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, and the recently introduced Magnite Kuro Edition. Moreover, Nissan offers a striking dual-tone paint scheme, combining the ‘Vivid Blue’ body colour with a black roof, enhancing the SUV’s visual appeal. With its competitive pricing, impressive features, and economical operation, the Nissan Magnite AMT poses a strong challenge to its rivals. It stands as a compelling choice for those seeking an automatic subcompact SUV without breaking the bank, undercutting competitors like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter while providing a worthy alternative to the manual variants.
