By Hyundai India is gearing up to launch the next-generation Verna in India as the company has started posting teaser images on its social media channels. The latest teaser image shows some tyre marks on the roads and its caption is ready to roar. So this might indicate the performance of Verna, which could be for the turbo-petrol engine option. The teaser image from yesterday was about the styling as the tagline is “Get ready to fast forward to the future”.
The new Verna is based on the Sensuous Sportiness design theme of Hyundai and it could take some inspiration from the latest Elantra and Sonata. The sedan is expected to get an even more coupe-like design theme than the current model while the interior is expected to be a huge leap forward compared to the existing model as the centre console will be dominated by new dual 12.3 inch screens just like the Ioniq 5 as one for the infotainment system and other for the instrument cluster.
The features list of the Verna will be long as Hyundai never disappoint in it but the biggest upgrade for the new model will be the introduction of ADAS features and the Verna will be the first model in its segment to come with level-II driver assistance. We have already seen several test mules with ADAS sensors which include 360-degree cameras too. Hyundai Verna will be powered by new engines, which are updated to meet new emission norms.
