By MG Hector crossed a milestone of manufacturing 1 lakh products in the country. The Hector started its production in the country on 19th December 2018 exactly 4 years later on 19th December 2022 1 lakh sales marks a huge success for the car. However, the competition in the segment has increased a lot with further launches of bigger SUVs like Scorpio N, Innova Hycross, etc, hence it’s time for MG motors to make a midlife refresh to the favourite MG Hector. The production of the new Hector has already started at the company plant in Halol, Gujarat.
The 1,00,000th Hector rolled out of the plant was the facelifted Hector, however, the brand tried to cover the front fascia of the SUV with flowers yet the enthusiasts out here managed to figure out that the rolled out hector is the facelift model by seeing the radar module at the lower front grille. The facelift Hector will be a taller vehicle than the outgoing model. it is expected to feature a lot of techs inside and tweaked styling outside. The facelift Hector will get a large diamond mesh grille with sleeker DRLs and headlight at the front and redesigned front bumper. The rear also gets redesigned styling with a sharper bumper and taillights.
The Interior of the Hector is equipped with a larger Infotainment display that measures 14 inches in size. It is also expected to get a 7-inch configurable instrument cluster. The Hector will feature ADAS tech in the facelift model. and the SUV is most likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol and 2.0-litre diesel. The petrol engine produces 140 bhp and 250 Nm of torque that is matted to either a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission, this powertrain will be also offered in a mild-hybrid tech. whereas the diesel engine produces 168 hp and 350 Nm of torque that is matted to a 6-speed transmission only. The new Hector will make its debut next month.
