MG Gloster Price Hiked Again, Base Variant Discontinued

MG Gloster is the flagship SUV for the British manufacturer in the Indian market and now the company has again hiked the price. The base variant of the Gloster has been discontinued and it is available in just two variants – Sharp and Savvy with either 6 seater or 7-seater option. The price hike of Rs. 60,000 is for the two-wheel drive model with either six or seven seats as the price of four-wheel drive remains the same. The entry-level model of the Gloster now starts at Rs. 38.08 lakh (Ex-Showroom).

One of the major USPs of Gloster is its size as it is clearly bigger than its rivals as the SUV is longer than the current generation Toyota Land Cruiser. The interior continues the premium feel as the design is inspired by BMW models especially the centre console and infotainment system. MG Gloster is powered by a 2.0 L diesel engine producing 218 hp and 480 Nm on Sharp and Savvy while the Super and Smart get the same engine with a single turbo that puts out 163 hp and 375 Nm.
