MG Gloster Facelift Spotted Testing In India For The First Time

MG Gloster facelift model has been spotted testing in India for the first time as the company introduced the model in the Indian market back in 2020. The Gloster is the flagship model of MG in India. The test mule was spotted in Karnataka and it is heavily camouflaged to hide maximum details but we have already seen some test mules of the current Gloster testing in Leh last year. The facelift model is expected to come with exterior design tweaks to keep the model fresh for coming years.

The front grille is likely to get a major update along with new headlamps and bumper. The changes to the side include new alloy wheels and we can see some sheet metal changes to the rear three quarters with new LED tail lamps. From the rear three quarters, it appears that the length of the Gloster has been increased slightly which could result in even more space for the third-row passengers. Another change we are expecting is at the rear with a new design for the bumper and an updated integrated spoiler.

The interior is also likely to get some changes including a new dashboard and revised infotainment system with new software as the current one is not great. The Gloster is already very well-loaded but MG could add some new features to make it even more feature-rich. The ADAS 2.0 on the current model will be updated as safety is very important for MG. The engine will be carried forward from the current model which is a 2.0 L diesel engine with 161 hp and a 2.0 L twin-turbocharged unit with 215 hp, mated to an 8-speed gearbox. The facelift model is expected to be introduced next year in India.
