By Maruti Suzuki is going to officially reveal the Engage next month and now the model has been spotted near the factory. The prototype spotted was completely covered to hide the details. The Engage will be the most expensive model of Maruti Suzuki in India as the top-end variant is expected to be priced at around Rs. 30 lakh as the Innova Hycross comes at Rs. 29.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
The design theme of Engage won’t be much different than Innova Hycross as some of the changes include a new front grille with an updated front bumper while the Toyota logo on the alloy wheels and rear will be replaced. Apart from this, we are not expecting any exterior changes while the interior won’t see anything except for the logos. The features will be exactly the same as Innova Hycross but we can expect some new exterior colour options.
The engine lineup with be the same 2.0 L NA and hybrid power options. The 2.0 L engine produces 173 PS of power and 209 Nm of torque while the Hybrid engine gets 184 hp of power and 188 Nm of torque along with electric motor produces 11 hp of power and 206 Nm. Toyota will supply just 50 units of Innova Hycross for Maruti as the company is not able to produce enough models for its own demand and Maruti is not expecting big volumes with this particular rebadged version.
