Kia is all set to reveal the Sonet facelift in India on December 14, 2023. The company has already released a couple of teaser videos of the new Sonet facelift which reveals some parts of the compact SUV. According to a new report, some selected dealerships across the country have started accepting unofficial bookings for the Sonet facelift. The token amount for booking is Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 25,000 depending on the dealer as the Korean manufacturer is yet to officially announce bookings for the Sonet facelift.
The official price revealing of the Sonet facelift is expected in January 2024 as the December 14th event could be just revealing the model. The changes to the Sonet facelift include exterior and interior while those changes could be similar to what we have seen on the updated Seltos. One of the most noticeable changes is the updated front bumper and headlamp assembly. The primary headlamps cluster retains its core structure, yet an intriguing new drop-down element extends into the bumper, now complemented by modified LED Daytime Running Lamps and fog lights.
The rear of the Sonet features fresh vertical tail lamps, linked by an illuminating LED light bar. A more substantial rear bumper, adorned with a dual-tone black and silver finish, completes the refreshed look. While the interior remains concealed in these images, earlier spy shots suggested updates in the HVAC controls and a novel digital instrument cluster. Under the hood, the Sonet facelift is expected to preserve its existing powertrains, encompassing an 83hp, 115Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 120hp, 172Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 116hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre diesel engine, while the transmission options include both manual and automatic.
