Kia India Cruises to Impressive Sales in October 2023, Led by Seltos

Kia India is celebrating a noteworthy achievement, with the company reporting robust sales figures for the month of October 2023. During this month, Kia managed to sell a total of 24,351 units, marking an impressive growth of 4.41% compared to the same period last year. This achievement is a testament to the brand’s enduring popularity in the Indian automotive market. The star of Kia’s sales figures for October was undeniably the Seltos, the brand’s best-seller, which accounted for a substantial 12,362 units sold.

Following closely behind were the Sonet and Carens, with 6,493 and 5,355 units sold, respectively. These sales figures highlight the continued appeal of Kia’s diverse lineup, with each model resonating with a specific segment of the market. While Kia’s conventional lineup performed admirably, it’s worth noting that the brand’s foray into electric mobility with the all-electric EV6 saw more modest sales, with only 141 units finding buyers. The EV6, being Kia’s most expensive offering in India, represents a unique choice for eco-conscious and tech-savvy customers.

In addition to the October sales milestone, Kia India disclosed that they’ve sold a cumulative total of 2,19,702 units between January and October 2023. The Seltos maintained its position as the top-seller during this period, with 83,250 units sold, closely followed by the Sonet at 73,333 units, and the Carens with 60,817 units sold. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of Sales & Marketing at Kia India, attributed this success to the positive outlook of Kia’s customers, which helped the company achieve its fourth-highest monthly sales ever in India. Despite stiff competition from new launches in the market, Kia’s Seltos, Sonet, and Carens continue to dominate their respective segments.

Moreover, Kia made strategic moves in the Indian market by adjusting prices and expanding their lineup. Last month, they raised the prices of the GTX+ and X-Line variants of the Seltos, while introducing the X-Line trim to the Carens variant range, offering customers more options to choose from. With this strong performance and a commitment to satisfying customer needs, Kia India looks forward to maintaining its momentum in the coming months, further solidifying its presence in the Indian automotive landscape.
