Jeep Compass and Meridian Price Changes: What You Need to Know

Jeep India officially announced that the price of Compass and Meridian has been hiked again but this time due to the recently updated Cess for SUV models. The new update makes the SUVs even more price. The Compass base Sport MT get the least hike of Rs. 29,000 and the price starts at Rs. 21.73 lakhs while the Limited MT 4×2 is now priced at Rs. 25.99 lakh which is Rs. 35,000 more than the earlier model. The top-end two-wheel drive variant is priced at Rs. 28.22 lakhs and when compared to earlier models, the price hiked by Rs. 38,000.

The Limited MT 4×4 price increased by Rs. 40,000 and it is priced at Rs. 29.84 lakhs while the top-end variant is now priced at Rs. 32.07 lakhs and this variant gets the highest hike of Rs. 43,000. The Compass price range is really wide as the entry-level models compete against the likes of Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700 while the top-end variants compete against the likes of Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan. The Compass is now available only with a diesel engine as the company discontinued the petrol engine which is going to make a comeback in 2025.

The Meridian also gets a similar price hike as the base variant price now starts at Rs. 33.40 lakh and it is Rs. 45,000 more than the earlier model. The Limited Plus AT gets a price hike of Rs. 48,000 while the Limited (O) AT 4×4 and Limited Plus AT 4×4 get a price hike of Rs. 51,000. The Limited (O) AT is the variant which gets the highest price hike of Rs. 57,000 on the Meridian lineup. Like the Compass, the Meridian is also available with a single engine option which is the 2.0 L diesel engine that too in manual and automatic gearbox variants.
